New Nintendo 3DS Kisekae Plates Japanese Commercial

This commercial is for the Japanese Nintendo 3DS faceplates ("Kisekae Plates") that could be used to swap out your New 3DS's faceplate with one featuring a cute pattern and/or graphics of Nintendo characters, such as Isabelle from Animal Crossing or Super Mario. The series started in 2014, and this commercial advertised the Kisekae Plates by featuring several Nintendo characters transforming into new, stylish outfits, alongside famous J-pop idol Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. The song featured in the ad is actually one of her own songs, KISEKAE, which wasn't even released officially until 2015.

A fun fact about this commercial is that the outfit that Mario changes into was actually used in Super Mario Odyssey 3 years later!
